Vacation Bible School
Hambden Congregational Church is ready for a Vacation Bible School your kids will never forget.
The church is looking forward to sharing this exciting event with children and families in our community.
VBS begins Tuesday, July 16 and continues through Thursday, July 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. All children 4 years through fifth grade are welcome. There is no charge.

Zoning Commission Vacancy
There is an opening as an alternate on our township’s Zoning Commission. If you would be interested in this position, contact the township office at 286-4364. Lauri or MaryAnn can give you the details.
Hambden Community Picnic
This year, we have not one, but two quilts to auction. Both have been made by our fiscal officer Laura Chorman.
The traditional quilt will be one that everyone can buy chances to win. The other quilt is special. It is a quilt made to honor our veterans in Hambden. Any Hambden veteran or active service man or woman from Hambden is invited to put their name in this free drawing. Both quilts are absolutely beautiful.
The picnic will be held at the township park on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 1-5 p.m. There will be entertainment by Banjo the Clown and our band, Terminal Blues, will be playing a mix of classic contemporary rock and the blues in the bandstand.
Of course, there will be a Chinese auction, children’s games, a bakery walk, ice cream sundaes and prizes for children of all ages.
Our fire department will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs, and there will be free popcorn and sno cones.
If you have an item to donate for the Chinese auction, just give me a call at 440-286-3273 or drop it off at the township hall between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays.
