The American Red Cross needs people of all races and ethnicities to give blood to help ensure a blood supply as diverse as the patients who depend on it.

Donation appointments may be made by downloading the free Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.

Geauga SOGI Support Network

Geauga Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Support Network, a newly formed nonprofit that works with individuals, families, friends and the Geauga County community to embrace sexual orientation and gender identity, is hosting a virtual gathering to introduce the organization to interested youth/young adults and parents.  Participating anonymously is an option.

Beat Stress and Anxiety

Sept. 23 and 30, 5:30 p.m.

Fellowship Bible Church, 16391 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township, is hosting a fall speaker series on mind, body and spirit health during COVID designed to equip individuals with the tools they need to be healthy. The events feature nationally recognized speakers and will be hosted outdoors with options to view them live online. Food trucks will be on-site from 5:30-7 p.m. followed by the speakers at 7:15 p.m.

The events are free, but registration is required. Guests are asked to bring laundry detergent, hand soap or toilet paper for WomenSafe.
