Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is hosting a community kickoff to officially begin the NAMIWalks event season and promote awareness and resources of Mental Health for All. The NAMIWalks Kickoff event will be held at Ubuntu Wellness, 201 Main St., Chardon and will feature refreshments, activities, information about NAMI and the upcoming NAMIWalks Geauga. The event is free and open to the public. NAMIWalks will take place at 9 a.m. on Sept. 30. All funds raised support the work of NAMI Geauga.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI promotes awareness of mental health and reduces stigma, raises funds for NAMI’s free, top-rated mental health programs and builds community and lets people know we are in this together.
