Employees of Junction Auto Family raised an estimated $7,750 through their annual Stuff the Truck donation drive to support the Geauga County Job and Family Services Sponsor a Family program.
The employee-run effort generated $5,750 in monetary donations, used to purchase high-priority items such as new coats and warm clothing, toys, puzzles, books and educational gifts. In addition, employees, customers, community members and business partners contributed approximately $2,000 in physical donations, including nonperishable food, clothing and toys, filling a truck with supplies for local families.
“Our employees are the heart of this event,” said Cliff Babcock, fifth generation owner of Junction Auto Family. “Seeing the team come together to shop for these kids and ensure that every dollar raised goes directly toward making a child’s holiday special is what the Stuff the Truck tradition is all about.”
“I am always in awe at how generous and amazing our community is,” said Andrew Pleso, who leads the event. “We couldn’t be more thankful to live and work in a place that continuously supports its friends and neighbors during their time of need. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year the best yet.”
All donations were delivered to Geauga County Job and Family Services for distribution through the Sponsor a Family program, which assists families across the county during the holiday season.
