Grange Lost a ‘Great Friend’
The Huntsburg Grange has suffered a great loss with the passing of Grange Master Elwin Adams.
It has been an honor to have worked on the Grange community projects along with Elwin as well as having been given the opportunity to be able to say, “Elwin has been a great friend.”
Chili Cookoff and Auction
The annual Huntsburg Grange Chili Cook-Off and Chinese Auction will be in the Huntsburg Gym on March 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Stop in to see friends and neighbors, have lunch and have free cake with famous Grange frosting.
Bob Stanek and the band will be providing live music.
Take part in the cake walk; buy a sampler pack and try all the chili entries, and then cast your vote for the winning chili. Visit with local vendors and buy tickets to win great items at the Chinese Auction.
The drawing for the winner of the handmade quilt raffle will be held at this event. Raffle tickets will be sold until the drawing. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $20. Buy them from any Grange member.
This is a fundraiser for future community projects, including free summer concerts at the bandstand with The Boys Are Back and Fort Huntsburg Band; the flag area in the park; support of the USO; support to local families through Geauga JFS; and donating to the food cupboard at Huntsburg Congregational Church.
