All township meetings are open to the public. The Munson Board of Trustees has a time slot for Munson residents to speak pro or con on township matters.

Welcome Aboard
The Board of Zoning Appeals welcomed James (Jim) Herringshaw, a longtime Munson resident, appointed as an alternate for a one-year term by the board of trustees. It is a voluntary position as are those on the zoning commission and park and recreation board

Chip Henry Award Nominations
The Friends of CASA for Kids and the Chip Henry family are accepting applications for the 2016 Chip Henry Civic Awards. Charles “Chip” Henry was Geauga County Juvenile Court judge from 1992 until his death in 2011.
The two awards will honor one adult and one high-school student, residents of Geauga County. Nominations can be emailed to chiphenrycuvuccaward@enail.com. Applications, which are available at www.friendsofcasa.org, must be received no later than March 24.
At the Senior Center
The musical groups at the Chardon Senior Center are seeking members for the Good Times Band and the Geauga Renaissance Singers. Geauga County senior residents who play a musical instrument or enjoy singing are welcome to join either group or both.
The Good Times Band practices at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and the Renaissance Singers practice Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 440-279-2131.
Shutterbugs Camera Club
The Shutterbugs Camera Club will meet March 3 from 7-9 p.m. in the Bostwick Room of the Chardon Library on Chardon Square. The monthly meetings are open to all ages and experience levels of photography artists. Participants are welcome to bring some of their work for friendly suggestions and critiques.

At The Rookery
The Geauga Park District extends an invitation to a fireside gathering of a “Sweet Maple Sugaring Song Fest” on March 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. at The Rookery on Rockhaven and Cedar roads, Munson. Songs of the Great Lakes Region will be performed by local songsters to celebrate maple sugaring.

Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, extends an invitation to a free Sunday dinner on March 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a choice of soups, salads, snacks and more.
