Twenty-one Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin art students have won awards at the Lake and Geauga County Scholastic Art Awards Show currently on display at Lakeland Community College through Feb. 22, when the awards will be presented.

WomenSafe’s Resale Shoppe
Volunteers and donations are needed at WomenSafe’s Resale Shoppe, 12601 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. The store, operated by volunteers, offers a variety of clean, used clothing for all ages, household items, books, artwork and more.
Proceeds benefit victims of domestic violence who are forced to relocate and/or seek counseling and shelter at the Green House on Ravenna Road in Munson.

At the Senior Center
Rob Irwin, a molecular hydration specialist, will speak on “The Value of Water” Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chardon Senior Center, 12455 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. All in attendance will receive free Kangen water. Reservations are not necessary.
Also, at the Chardon Senior Center, Veia holds a class for all levels in Chair Zumba Feb. 26 at 10:15 a.m. Reservations are not necessary.
Volunteers are needed at the Chardon Senior Center’s library to help with shelving and assisting visitors. To help, call 440-279-2130.
Amateur Radio Association
The Geauga Amateur Radio Association (GARA) will hold its next meeting Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Geauga County Safety Center, 12518 Merritt Road, Munson. Food Addicts in Recovery
The next meeting of Food Addicts in Recovery (FAIR) will be held Feb. 25, from 6:30-8 p.m., at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson. If one is concerned about losing weight, this may be a good time to start.
FAIR offers support, nutrition information and encouragement to those who are making an effort to lose weight and remain healthy. The weekly meetings are free; pre-registration is not necessary.

Indoor Flea Market
The indoor flea market at the Munson Township Hall, 12200 Auburn Road, will be held Feb. 28, rain, snow or shine, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event has always been a huge success regardless of the weather and is a treasure trove for all ages. Table spaces are sold out.

Shutterbugs Camera Club
The Shutterbugs Camera Club will hold its last meeting at the Geauga Park District’s West Woods Nature Center March 5, from 7-9 p.m. Starting April 2, subsequent monthly meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at the Chardon Library’s Bostwick Room. The monthly meetings are free and open to all ages and skill levels of photography artists. Pre-registration is not necessary.
