Black Knights Go to the Fair
The Newbury Black Knights were well represented at the Great Geauga County Fair. Students participated in many events throughout this Labor Day Weekend, such as showing animals, working booths and performing in Band-o-Rama.
To start the Black Knights at the Band-o-Rama, the Newbury cheer-leaders showed their school spirit by being the only cheerleading squad to make a pyramid, even though they had a whopping number of five cheerleaders. After the cheerleaders came the best Newbury Black Knights Marching Band that anyone has ever seen. The marching band blew the crowd away with its beautiful marching techniques and powerful instrumentation.
Some students, such as Maggie Kolenic, worked at the fair by selling some food. Every day at the fair, sophomore Kayla Morris clogged with a group and had a great time on stage.
Newbury students also walked around the fair, ate food and had fun on the rides. Some students even stayed to watch the horses and the tractor pulls. By the end of the fair weekend, Newbury Black Knights had fun at the fair, showed their school spirit, and most importantly, represented the school.
