Chili Cook-Off
Each year at the end of the semester, the foods 1 class at Newbury Junior-Senior High School takes part in a chili cook-off. Each cooking group is given one pound of ground beef and a can each of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and kidney beans. The students may use any spices in the classroom cupboard and they may also bring ingredients from home.
The chili is judged by staff members. This semester’s winning group was Abby Harvey, Dylan Piekarski, Mikey McKale, Madeline Everiss and Kayla Cigany.
