Chagrin River Bird Quest

Sept. 11-12

Bird enthusiasts are challenged to a 24-hour birding marathon. Due to the coronavirus, the sixth annual event looks and feels a little different, but it will still include food, prizes and fun.

To start, assemble a team and register at www.clevelandaudubon.org. Drive-through team check-in will take place Sept.11 from 4-6 p.m. at The West Woods’ Deer Run Shelter. Teams will receive free maps, checklists, T-shirts and a Subway gift card for lunch.

Spend the next 24 hours birding. Visit the Audubon’s website for challenge rules.

Then, on Sept.12, turn in checklists for judging by 4 p.m. -instructions will be provided at check-in – and plan to attend the Quest celebration at 7 p.m. virtually on Zoom. An email about how to join will be emailed upon registration.
