Partial Lunar Eclipse
Nov. 30, 4-5 a.m.
Ohio experiences a partial lunar eclipse in the early-morning hours of Nov. 30. Join Chris Mentrek, astronomy naturalist, at Frohring Meadows.
Beginning around 2:30 a.m., the moon will just barely graze the edge of the Earth’s shadow, a penumbral eclipse that ends just as the moon begins to set around 7 a.m. During the peak time when this program takes place, the top of the moon will appear shaded from Geauga County.
Registration is required. Face coverings will be required whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
Hound Hike
Dec. 5, 1-2:30 p.m.
Join a naturalist for a parade through the park with your favorite pooch by your side at Frohring Meadows. Dog must be on leash, 8 foot max, fully under control and non-aggressive to people and other dogs. Only one dog per handler. Bring dog towels and a water bowl, poop scoop and bags for dog cleanup.
Registration is required for this hike, kicking off at 1 p.m. from Katydid Lodge.
