Breakfast Benefits Mission Team
Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St, will host a breakfast Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon to benefit the church’s 2015 Guatemala Mission Team, which will be working with Orphans Resources International in January.
A freewill donation will be gratefully accepted. All are welcome.
New Promise Church Events
New Promise Church will begin a Grief Share 13-week program Oct. 7 from 7-9 p.m. Designed for people grieving the loss of someone dear, the free workshop includes videos, group discussions and Biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Refreshments will be served each week.
The church is also holding a Divorce Care program, which meets Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. The next meeting is Sept. 16. The program is designed for people experiencing separation and divorce. Guests are welcome to begin attending any week; each session is self-contained. Total cost for the 13-week program is $30.

The Daniel Plan
Chardon United Methodist Church will offer the Daniel Plan, based on the book of the same name. Written by Dr. Rick Warren, founding pastor of Saddleback Church, the plan outlines a healthy lifestyle program based on five essential principles of faith, food, fitness, focus and friends.
Chardon UMC will offer sessions on Fridays at 6:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 26, at DaBoro’s restaurant, 510 Water St. in Chardon.

DivorceCare Class
DivorceCare classes will begin the fall series on Sept. 14 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Cornerstone Friends Church, 2300 Hubbard Road in Madison. Classes will meet for 14 weeks and are open to those who are separated or divorced.
Topics covered in the DVD and discussion group are different each week.
