Parents of kids who have recently come out can come to an affirming parent peer support group, “My Kid’s Out, Now What?” at Bainbridge Community UCC, 17751 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township.
A panel of parents who have been and are going through their child coming out will tell their stories, make suggestions and answer questions to help other parents be supportive and affirming to their beloved child of God. Pastor Brian Saxe, of Bainbridge Community UCC, will also be available to answer faith-based questions.
The event is in partnership with Hiram College, the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland and LGBT+ Allies Lake County.
