Troy Township Road Crew will again work with the Geauga County Department on Aging employees and volunteers to remove unwanted items, including appliances, wrapped mattresses and furniture, from seniors’ garages and yards during locally scheduled pickups.

- Presentations with Pizzaz: July 12, 1-2 p.m. Sue Cannavino will present “Princess Diana, Behind the Scenes” and “Prince Charles: Why He Married Diana, not Camilla.” Fee is $3; registration is required.
- Cooking Demo: July 17, 12-1 p.m. Chef Jason of Heather Hill will provide a cooking demonstration and free lunch. There will also be recipe cards and an instructional lesson on each meal selection. Call to sign up; seating is limited to 40.

Troy Senior Trash Pickup

Troy Township Road Crew will again work with the Geauga County Department on Aging employees and volunteers to remove unwanted items, including appliances, wrapped mattresses and furniture, from seniors’ garages and yards during locally scheduled pickups.
Troy seniors who want to sign up for the trash pick up must be 60 years of age and older and must be registered with the department on aging for 2019 one week prior to the pickup in order to be placed on the pickup list.
Only 10 household items per home; small items can be consolidated in strong boxes and items should be tarped, if possible.
For specific allowable trash guidelines or to register for the pickup, call the Department on Aging weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 440-279-2130.
