- Free Blood Pressure Screenings: Mondays, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Provided by Geauga Health Department.
- Matter of Balance: Wednesdays and Fridays, Sept. 5-28, 12:30-2:30 p.m. Join the free class to learn how to manage concerns about falls, as well as set realistic goals for staying active, stay safe at home, complete exercises to increase strength and balance and learn how to identify and control the fear of falling. - Growing Up Amish: Sept. 5, 10:30 a.m. Lorina Mast will talk about what it was like being raised in an Amish household and her decision to leave.

- Traveling the World: Aug. 31, 12:30-1:30 p.m. An ongoing series presented and narrated by Rick Steves, of The Travel Channel, the free, biweekly program will cover Greece on a wall-sized screen in the exercise room. Popcorn and refreshments are provided. Call the center to register.
- Historical Cleveland Presentation: Sept. 5, 12:30 p.m. An educator from The Western Reserve Historical Society will talk about Cleveland in the Fab ‘50s. Cost is $5; registration is required.

- Blood Pressure Screenings: Sept. 6 starting at 11 a.m. Provided by University Hospital Geauga Medical Center.
- Smartphone 101: Sept. 6, 12:30-2 p.m. Christine Bacon will teach how to use a smartphone, taught by on the first and third Thursdays of the month.

Senior Day at the Fair
Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is to the fair is free to seniors 65 and older. Geauga County Department on Aging will host a hospitality and refreshment area at the Vernon Howard Pavilion located at the south end of the fairgrounds, across from red anniversary building.
The department on aging will also coordinate rides to and from the fair grounds for Geauga Department on Aging registered seniors. Call the Chardon Senior Center for information at 440-279-2126.
Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP
Sept. 4, 1 p.m.
Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will meet for its annual hot dogs and chips luncheon at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road. Cost is $3. Guests must have purchased a ticket at a meeting or call Betty Scholz at 440-338-8321 for reservations.
Clair Besse will entertain the group with his music and songs during lunch. Then, there will be a brief meeting to learn about what the group has planned for the rest of the year.
Please bring in donations of food, staples and school supplies for the Food For Friends food pantry and dog food, blankets, towels, hot dogs and treats for the Geauga Dog Shelter.
