The Geauga County Department on Aging will offer a free traditional meal to any Geauga County seniors, age 60 and older, who will be home and alone on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

- American Sign Language Class: Dec. 17, 12:30-2 p.m. Join for
- Jingle Bell Jamboree: Dec 18, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program begins with a holiday angel craft, followed by JINGO with prizes, then lunch by Lorina, followed by music and entertainment from Tom Todd. All participants will be given jingle bells to tie to their shoes. Registration is required. Cost is $10, or $12 for out of county seniors.

Home Delivered Holiday Meals
The Geauga County Department on Aging will offer a free traditional meal to any Geauga County seniors, age 60 and older, who will be home and alone on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
There will be no regular Home Delivered Meal delivery or congregate meals on Dec. 25. Instead, holiday meals are available by preorder only.
Christmas Day meal requests are due by Dec. 17.

HEAP Talk
Dec. 14, 11 a.m. to noon
Natalie Pajk will be at the West Geauga Senior Center to provide an informational talk on the Home Energy Assistance Program(HEAP). Anyone interested in applying for HEAP or needing help getting started may join to learn more.

Fighting Against Parkinson’s
Fighting against Parkinson’s is a class for seniors diagnosed with or who have early onset Parkinson’s disease whose symptoms are mild. Offered through the Geauga County Department on Aging, the class will provide non-contact boxing style fitness programs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-11 a.m. at Taekwondo Center, 209 Center St. in Chardon.
The goal of the program is to delay the progression of Parkinson symptoms. Strength, speed, balance and flexibility will be worked on through a variety of exercises and core conditioning.
Improving overall fitness levels, maintaining a strong healthy body while working on postural imbalances and increasing core strength will be a focus throughout the program.
