The program features Ron Papaleo, who will play the keyboard/accordion and sings solo vocals.
If the Kenston school system is closed due to weather, the meeting will be canceled. Please local television stations for school closings.
The group is still collecting nonperishable food items for the Food For Friends food pantry and dog food, blankets, dog treats and hot dogs for the Geauga Dog Shelter. Monetary donations are always welcome.

Chronic Disease Self Management
Register for a free six-week course offered by the Geauga County Department on Aging at The Weils, 16695 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township. Class will be held Thursdays, March 14 through April 25, from 1-3 p.m.
Find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, understand new treatment choices, learn better ways to talk with doctors and family about health and learn to live a healthier life and reduce health care costs.

Home Safety and Critter Control
The Geauga County Department on Aging’s Home Safety Program Coordinator, Bob Debevits, and Ken Smith, from Animal X “Critter Control” will visit the senior centers offering a home safety and local animal presentation. Learn useful home safety tips and discover what animals are living in or around homes and the issues those animals can cause.

Attention Tax Paying Seniors
Tax assistance will again be available to seniors 60 years of age and older at the Geauga County Department on Aging’s Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Claridon Township.
The department on aging will offer this service by appointment only through April 11. Tax assistance will be available from Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) trained and certified personnel. Tax preparers will be using the electronic E-filing method this year.
The volunteers who help prepare taxes will need two forms of identification from each taxpayer who is receiving tax assistance. One of the forms of identification must be a photo identification, e.g., passport, U.S. driver’s license, state identification card, military identification card. The second identification form can be an original or a copy of your Social Security card, ITIN card or letter, if applicable.
Do not discard the end of year Social Security statement, as this indicates the benefits one has received.
Seniors will have the option to have their refund deposited directly into the bank account of their choice. Please bring bank routing and account numbers with to the appointment.
