“I’m so grateful to have a team of people that moves as one. They really get behind the vision that we have.” – Randy Kaser, President
Surrounded by family and friends, Randy Kaser cut the ribbon Tuesday morning officially opening his new business, Acquire Fire Protection.
“This has been a dream for a long, long time,” an emotional Randy Kaser said following a grand opening ceremony for his new facility at 17012 Kinsman Road, Middlefield Township.
“I worked for another company for 13 years, with the dream of buying that business,” he explained. “When that fell apart and didn’t work out, my whole life crashed around me, sort of.”
Kaser credited his wife, Debbie, Burton Township Trustee Ken Burnett and others with encouraging him to start his own business.
“So, I quit my job . . . and went to nothing, as everybody does, and we just spent a lot of years getting to the point where we could hire people,” said Kaser, who operated his fire protection business out of his home for more than 15 years.
His first hire was Jon LeRoy, a systems specialist whom Kaser had worked with at his former company.
“Good friend, good man, one of the best systems technicians I’ve ever known,” Kaser said.
Marcus Orahood recently was hired as a service technician.
“A young guy that’s learning the business,” said Kaser, also mentioning Kathy Edwards was brought on as company administrator.
“I couldn’t do any of this without these people,” he said. “I’m so grateful to have a team of people that moves as one. They really get behind the vision that we have.”
Added Kaser, “Our heart and our purpose in all of this is to honor God and serve people, and take care of them and do it right.”
Acquire Fire Protection primarily services American-made fire extinguishers, but also offers emergency exit lighting, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and fire suppression systems for restaurants and businesses.
The company also offers clean agent fire systems for data storage rooms and other enclosed areas where damage needs to be minimized.
“We’re pretty much a service company for fire extinguishers for commercial and residential,” explained Kaser. “Whatever people need and wherever they need it.”
Acquire Fire Protection is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday by appointment only. For more information on its services, call 440-632-5600 or visit www.acquirefireprotection.com.
