Two recent unexpected resignations within the Burton Village utilities department have left the Burton Village Board of Public Affairs searching for replacements for both a utilities supervisor and a wastewater/water plant operator. Board President Bill Pinkava said in a June 3 phone interview that the board voted June 2 to begin advertising for a replacement for Jake Neill, who served as utilities supervisor. A separate utility assistant position was posted on the village website May 2 to replace John Poulson, who resigned. His last day with the village was May 23.
