The Chardon Schools Board of Education approved updates to the district’s math curriculum and materials April 20, following a comprehensive review process. Assistant Superintendent Ed Klein said the district assembled a committee of teachers spanning kindergarten through 12th grade to evaluate current practices and identify areas for improvement. “(The committee looked) at what are our standards, what are the standards of the state of Ohio, what are the resources that we’re using, how are our students performing and where there’s opportunities for growth,” Klein said.
