Chardon Police Investigating Reported Indecent Exposure
The City of Chardon Police Department is investing a report of indecent exposure that occurred Monday.
At approximately 3:57 p.m., police were told a male, driving a silver sedan, had exposed himself to two juvenile females who were walking home from school on Huntington Street, in the area of Goodrich Court.
The alleged incident occurred 20-30 minutes before police were called.
“One of the females observed the male exposing himself as he drove past them and both girls then ran to a friend’s house,” Police Chief Scott Niehus said, adding the suspect was described as being white, 20 to 30 years old, wearing blue shorts and a white t-shirt.
“The male allegedly stood up in the car as he passed the females exposing himself,” Niehus said. “The suspect appeared to have been alone in the vehicle when the incident occurred and the vehicle continued north on Huntington Street toward North Hambden Street, and the vehicle was not seen again.”
Police searched the area and were unable to locate the vehicle or suspect.
There were no other witnesses and Monday’s incident was the only report of this nature police received.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chardon Police Department at 440-286-6123.
