Ashley Serraglio, Geauga County assistant archivist, and Madeline Simmons, records specialist, regaled a crowd of about 100 at Schoolyard Studio in Burton Village with documented stories of early settlers drawn from Deed Book 1800 – 1804. They recounted how Roger Newbury purchased 54,774 acres in the Western Reserve from Pardon Brown in four sections.
