Robert George Fadeley

NEWBURY TWP. Robert George Fadeley, of Newbury Township, died Dec. 11, 2012, at Heather Hill Healthcare Center in Munson Township. He was 62.

Born Aug. 24, 1950, to the late James F. and Mary A. (nee Yunk) Fadeley, he was a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident.

For 33 years, he was a report writer for AT&T in Cleveland.

He has been very active in community theaters in Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties for more than 40 years.

Robert was an amateur filmmaker, a Gateman at The Great Geauga County Fair for the last 17 years and really enjoyed doing food demonstrations at area Giant Eagle stores.

For the last 10 years, he was a Standardized Patient at Ohio University Medical School and the Cleveland Clinic, and an active character at Halloweekends at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn J. (nee Zamer) Fadeley of Newbury whom he married Sept. 8, 1973; sons, John and David, both of Newbury, and Kenneth of Streetsboro; brother, Tom (Amy) Fadeley of Twinsburg; and sister, Diane (Don) Carducci of Grove City.

The family will receive friends Dec. 14 from 5-8 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 5525 Harper Road, Solon.

John G. Rozic Jr.

AVON LAKE John G. Rozic Jr., of Avon Lake, Ohio, died Dec. 11, 2012. He was 73.

Born June 30, 1939, in Lorain to John G. and Irene (nee Sazbo) Rozic Sr., he was a lifelong area resident.

John worked at the Ford Motor Co. Lorain Plant, retiring in 1999. His joys included reading, philanthropic activities with the Salvation Army and the Lake County Humane Society.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

John is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Chris) France of Shaker Heights; son, Greg of Shelton, Conn.; and grandson, Andrew France of Shaker Heights.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Rozic; and sister, Norma Rozic.

Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. Dec. 22. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

Warren John Jevnikar

CHARDON Warren John Red Jevnikar, of Chardon, died Dec. 15, 2012. He was 88.

Warren was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Cleveland. He graduated from Euclid Shore High School, Class of 1943, and then served as a Quartermaster 3rd Class in the Pacific Theatre, U.S. Navy, during World War II.

After the war, he attended Kent State University, graduating in 1949.

He worked for the former Bestone in Chardon, managed the former Geauga Theatre and the Hazelwood Drive Inn, and retired as a self-employed manufacturers representative.

Warren was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Chardon and the Euclid Rotary Club.

He was inducted into the Euclid Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.

Red and his wife, Jane, enjoyed boating and fishing, especially the annual trips to Rapid Seven in Canada.

His voice could be heard helping John Brindo calling, Ham, Ham, Ham, for the Chardon Fire Department during the Maple Festival and assisting with their fall clambakes.

He was an avid fan of Chardon High School sports. During the 1960s, he helped the boosters club in securing new football stands and building a new concession stand.

Survivors include daughters, Laura (Jeremy) Welsh of Annapolis, Md., and Beth (John) Wilson of Oakmont, Pa.; son, David W. Jevnikar of Chardon; and grandchildren, Emily Welsh and Lauren and Alexander Wilson.

Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Janette (nee Brinkman), whom he married at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Cleveland Heights, on Nov. 22, 1947; and his parents, John and Phyllis (nee Clapham) Jevnikar.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 27 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.

James Roger Prinkey

AVON PARK, FL James Roger Prinkey, age 80, passed away Dec. 16, 2012, in Avon Park, Fla.

He was born in Normalville, Pa., on Dec. 15, 1932, to Carl K. and Marie (nee Miller) Prinkey. James had been a resident of Avon Park since 2003, coming from Middlefield.

He was a press operator, member of Mapletown Square Dance Club and Hub Square Dance Club.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Prinkey, of Avon Park; children, Roger Prinkey (Bobbi) of Newbury Township, David Prinkey (Jodel) of Wayland, Ohio, Carl Prinkey (Joyce) of Burton, James Prinkey (Lisa) of Farmington, Sally Francisco (Gary) of Winter Haven, Fla., Barbara Prinkey of Chardon, Debra Taylor (Leonard) of Southington, Christine Prinkey of Farmington and Darlene Slusher (Rick) of Bristolville; step-son, Edward Fishel of Parkman Township; brother Larry Prinkey of Texas; sisters, Marie Howell of Tennessee and Gwen Phillips of Virginia; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Prinkey was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally; and brothers William and Carlton.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park.
