First Day of School
The Badgers of the Berkshire Local Schools returned to classes on Sept. 4 and students were greeted by staff members throughout the district. The sunny and mild early autumn morning was a perfect environment to invigorate excitement and Badger school spirit.
Superintendent John Stoddard was joined by principals Jon Franks, Mandy Randles and Heather Giel in welcoming students during the morning arrival session. Upon entry to the buildings, assistant principals and staff members reunited with students after a long summer break.
Learning began immediately at all levels of education, and with that, the 2024-25 school year was launched. Check the district website and social media for updates and key information.
Senior Sunrise
Special memories were shared on a crisp, early autumn morning as the graduating class gathered for Senior Sunrise on the football field at Great Lakes Cheese Stadium. Students proudly displayed Badger spirit in Class of 2025 shirts and huddled under blankets as they shared vision and inspiration for the upcoming school year. Signs were held as the sun arose over the eastern tree-lined horizon. Memorable and community-building events will make it an unforgettable year for the senior class. The event marks one of the first of many activities and events that will commemorate their final year, and the district wishes them a successful school year.
