CFMS May Students of the Month

Chagrin Falls Middle School is honoring its May 2026 Students of the Month for demonstrating outstanding character, leadership and dedication both inside and outside the classroom. The mission of the Chagrin Falls Middle School Students of the Month program is to acknowledge and reward students for exemplary performance. Students selected embody the school’s Tiger Techniques: Think, Integrity, Grit, Effort and Responsibility. Each month, seventh- and eighth-grade teams collaborate to choose a male and female “Tiger of the Month,” and students receive tiger water bottles from the PTO.

The May 2026 Students of the Month are:

Wes Gile, 8th grade: Wes is a quiet leader who leads by example and always does the right thing. He works hard in everything he does, asks thoughtful questions and advocates for himself when needed. Wes is kind, respectful, positive and consistently gives his best effort in the classroom.

Emily Mariano, 8th grade: Emily is a well-rounded student who lights up the classroom with her positive attitude and smile. She works well with everyone, sets high expectations for herself and consistently demonstrates strong effort and dedication in all she does both inside and outside the classroom.

Kian Rickert, 7th grade: Kian is a kind and diligent student who consistently takes pride in his work. He approaches learning with a positive attitude, asks thoughtful questions and is always willing to help others. His kindness, respect and quiet leadership make him a wonderful role model in the classroom.

Anne Penney Slain, 7th grade: Anne Penney consistently goes above and beyond in class. She quietly leads by example through her participation, responsibility and positive leadership behaviors. She is always engaged, works hard on assignments and shows kindness and respect to those around her. Her dedication and positive attitude make a meaningful impact in the classroom each day.
