STEM Showcase
Sixth-graders put on their “thinking caps” in Mrs. Gwen Santoro’s classes prior to the end of the school year. The challenge was to think of something that’s a problem in their lives, and then design a solution to fix it using the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) process.
Students did an outstanding job coming up with new inventions. Among them, a doghouse, unbreakable dog toy, a mud and water catching boot rack and a rack to store baseball hats.
