Several Cardinal High School students ventured to Cleveland on Nov. 2 to experience the Day of the Dead Festival being held in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.

Several Cardinal High School students ventured to Cleveland on Nov. 2 to experience the Day of the Dead Festival being held in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. While there with instructor Senora Ipce Flores, students were able to participate in craft workshops, visit vendors, sample pan de muerto, which is the traditional Day of the Dead bread, and see the Skulls and Skeletons parade. There was also live music and performances.
Students have been learning about this tradition that is celebrated in Mexico and Latin America in class and enjoyed seeing the culture in person.
