CVC Honors Choir Concert

On Nov. 25, Cardinal High School hosted the CVC Honors Choir concert. The event is held at a different school every year, and Cardinal has participated for the last several years. It was an honor to have Dr. Grant Cook, III from the University of Mount Union participate as this year’s guest clinician. He spent a couple of days working with the students selected from the 10 CVC schools participating in the event to help them put on an excellent performance. Cardinal students participating included Michael M., Trey M., Zane F., Jonathon Z., Gracie M., Maddie S., Rachael L. and Mya K.

Opinion Featured On NewsDepth

Fourth-graders Isabella J. and Emma S. had their joint opinion on treating student athletes fairly on co-ed teams published on the WVIZ/PBS ideastream program “NewsDepth.”

The girls wrote, “It doesn’t matter what gender team members are. Think of this, if players have the same skills as you, they should play. If players are trying to get better, help them or teach them how to play better. The reason why all team members play what they play is that they want to have fun – just like you.”

Emma and Isabella were both so excited and proud to see their work on the screen when they watched the program in Mrs. Charlotte Torre’s class.
