NHS is composed of students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character and service. To be eligible students must maintain an unweighted 3.5 grade point average through the end of the second semester of their sophomore or junior year and complete an application. The application must be complete and list examples and references.
After a student becomes eligible in terms of scholarship, his/her name is presented to the National Honor Society Committee who then select students for initiation into the National Honor Society based on all the four areas listed above. Once selected, students must maintain their good standing in all these areas to retain membership.
The high school thanks Mr. Luke Kruse as the guest speaker at the induction event.
