Earth Day Celebration
Cardinal Middle School Builders Club along with Cardinal High School Key Club, Science Club and National Honor Society members participated in Geauga Park District’s Earth Day celebration. The group helped to reforest Veterans Legacy Woods Park in Newbury Township by planting trees. The students planted nearly 20 trees in an effort to help the park district revert the area back to woodlands.
Record Breakers
Cardinal Middle School participated in the Lew Speece Invitational at Mineral Ridge High School on May 6. Eighth-grader Olivia Krebs set the school record in the shotput with a throw of 38-1 ½ and finished in first place.
Eighth-grader Josh Miller placed first in the 200-meter hurdles. The week prior he set the school record in the same event.
