Hall of Fame Induction
Three new members will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame and one new member will join the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.
The 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are: the 1990 Cardinal girls volleyball team, OHSAA semifinals; Alan Neikirk (’86) wrestling, 1983-1986; and Jeff Zeigler, wrestling coach, 1992-2022.
The 2023 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame inductee is Howard W. Bates (‘69), owner of DBJ Equipment Corp. and owner and president of Arms Trucking.
Inductees will be recognized during halftime of the varsity football game on Aug. 18 against Garrettsville.
Their official induction into their respective halls of fame will come at a dinner on Aug. 19 at Serenity Winery in Huntsburg Township.
