Summer break has been a busy one throughout the district with several improvement projects taking place.
The middle school parking lot has been repaved, there are new stadium lights up at the high school football field and the entrances at Jordak Elementary School and Cardinal High School will look a little different come the first day of school, which is Aug. 14 for students in grades 1-12.
In addition, the following are additional important dates to mark down as summer break starts to wind down.
- Aug. 1: JES class lists posted; CMS/CHS schedules posted in IC
- Aug. 6: CHS fall sports pictures
- Aug. 8: CMS fall sports pictures
- Aug. 9: CMS Locker setup, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; CHS ninth-grade and new student orientation, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
- Aug. 10: Kindergarten orientation – boys, 9-11 a.m.; girls, 1-3 p.m.
- Aug. 13: JES open house, 4-5 p.m.; CMS open house, 5-6 p.m.
- Aug. 14: First day of school (grades 1-12 only)
- Aug. 15: Early release day
