Alum Places In National Educators Competition
Cardinal High School graduate Emily Kneier recently learned that she placed ninth overall at the Educators Rising national competition for her children’s literature book. Emily received the invitation to nationals in Orlando, Fla., back in the spring when her literary creation, “The Day She Knew,” took a fourth place in the state competition through Auburn Career Center.
Emily wrote, developed and illustrated the book herself. When Emily wasn’t competing at the national competition, she was supporting her fellow classmates or participating in workshops that helped develop her teaching strategies. She also had time to visit some of the Disney attractions.
Emily still hopes to one day become a middle school math and social studies teacher.
