JES Apple Challenge

As part of the monthly positive behavior incentive at Jordak, all of the classrooms in the building took part in a sticker challenge. Students could earn stickers for their class’s apple chart by showing Huskie Pride anywhere on campus, including the bus. The fourth-grade “purple” class won the challenge for the grade and was rewarded with apples to enjoy during silent reading.

Mobile Dentist Returns

The mobile dentist will be coming to Jordak Elementary School on Nov. 15 and 16 for the fall session. The mobile dentist will be sending a restorative team this year, which means that cavities can also be filled, an option not available last year.

Parents/guardians can register their student for an appointment online at www.myschooldentist.comor by completing the registration form that was sent home with students and returning it to school. Registration forms can also be found on the school website www.cardinalschools.org.
The mobile dentist accepts most forms of insurance, as long as it has been at least six months since a student’s last dental checkup.

For those without insurance or the means to pay, the mobile dentist offers a grant program. No child is turned away due to an inability to pay. Parents/guardians can call 888-833-8441 for additional information on the program.
