Green Room Ready for Broadcast Classes
Students in Cardinal High School’s communications and publications classes will have some new tools to use in the upcoming year. Money received through the College Ready Ohio (CRO) grant allowed administrators to transform a storage room into a new green room.
The room is set up similar to a television studio, complete with a camera, teleprompter, lighting and green screen. The green screen will give students the ability to record something and then design and edit in appropriate backgrounds and graphics to go along with the recorded content. Along with the room, students and teachers also have access to editing equipment and they will be able to use everything together to produce, record, edit and broadcast a variety of media-based projects.
CHS Girls’ Locker Room Gets Facelift
A much needed facelift has been given to the girl’s locker room at Cardinal High School this summer. Summer maintenance staff and members of the athletic department worked to freshen up the area by giving it a new coat of paint. Sherwin Williams generously donated all of the paint needed to complete the project.
“We are incredibly grateful for the paint donation from Sherwin Williams; painting was absolutely something we needed to do in this area,” says Athletic Director Andy Cardinal. “Hopefully this improvement will give student athletes using this area a little extra sense of pride when they hit the field or the court this fall.”
Good luck to all of the student athletes competing this fall.
