Students Compete in BPA State Leadership Conference

On Feb. 23, 10 students from Chagrin Falls High School qualified and competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference in Columbus. Chagrin Falls had another strong showing with six students recognized for finishing in the Top 10 in the state in their event.

Lavanya Rao, Katie Rosner and Ben Lyndall qualified for the National Leadership Conference May 6-10 in Nashville, Tenn. This marks the second straight year students in BPA have advanced to nationals.

Results are: second place – Lavanya Rao – Legal Office Procedures; third place – Katie Rosner – Banking and Finance; fourth place – Darcy Osborn – Health Research Presentation; sixth place – Ben Lyndall – Business Law and Ethics; seventh place – Sedona Bundy – Presentation Individual; ninth place – John Busby – Advanced Interview Skills; 11th place – Nick Warner – Java Programming; 20th place – Eric Goyman – Personal Financial Management; 20th place – James Marcin – Fundamental Accounting; and 20th place – Dominick Pantuso – Python Programming.
