Choirs Shine at Cavs Game
Members of the Chardon High School choirs under the leadership of Chardon choir director Fritz Streiff provided an outstanding vocal performance of the National Anthem before tip-off for the Wizards versus Cavs game at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Jan. 5. Congratulations to the choir students and Mr. Streiff on once again making Chardon proud.
A recording of the performance, courtesy of Park Elementary secretary and Hilltopper parent Tonia Seese, is available via the district news page.
Alumni Strike Chord in Big 10 Bands
The district is pleased to see Chardon High School alumni Mitchell Ewaska ‘20 and Anna Gerstner ‘21 continuing their journeys in musicality through their respective universities. Ewaska now plays the sousaphone in the OSU Marching Band, and Gerstner is a trumpeter in the Penn State Blue Band. Each student had the prestigious opportunity to perform at their respective schools’ post-season bowl games last month.
