AP Scholar Awards

Congratulations to the eight Hilltoppers who have been recognized through the College Board Scholarship Recognition Program.

The national recognition programs award academic honors to high-performing, underrepresented students, according to College Board’s website.

The national recognition programs include the African American Recognition Program, National First Generation Scholar Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.

Rural and Small Town Scholars are Caroline Evans, Grayson Hallam, Cash Johnson, Lillian Meyer, Alexander Monkiewicz, Connor Mosher and Robert Silk. Claire Stevenson is a recipient of the First Generation Scholar award.

Promethean Board Training

Certified staff from throughout the district spent part of their Aug. 30 professional day going over Promethean Board training in the Chardon Middle School cafeteria.

The training comes after the new flat panel displays were installed throughout district buildings over the summer.

Last year, the boards were installed throughout the middle school, high school and Chardon Early Learning Center. This year, further Promethean display installation occurred throughout the district, including in Munson and Park elementary schools.
