New Kenston Faculty
Kenston welcomes its new faculty members to the Kenston family. They filled positions created by retirements, resignations or extended leaves.
The district look forwards to the talents and dedication of its faculty and staff as they work to design lessons that are challenging, interesting and satisfying.
They are Matt Jones, Timmons Elementary School physical education teacher; Beth Lewis, Kenston Middle School instrumental music teacher; Brandon Hillman, Kenston Middle School math teacher; and Megan Valenti, Kenston High School social studies and business teacher.
Athletic Tickets and Protocols
Kenston High School will continue to sell home athletic event tickets exclusively online through its platform with Home Town Ticketing. The link is on the district webpage. Admission will be charged for varsity football, all soccer and all volleyball events.
Kenston will not be issuing season passes for the foreseeable future. Senior citizens and children 5 and under will receive complimentary admission.
For each home volleyball event this fall, Kenston will require noncompetitors to have face coverings. Masks are not required outdoors for students, staff, visitors or athletic spectators.
Though this is subject to change, the district is not limiting attendance at any of its home sporting events. Live streaming of sporting events will only be made available if attendance restrictions are imposed.
Lunch Menus
The school lunch menus for all Kenston Schools are available on the district webpage atwww.kenstonlocal.com. In addition to menus, information is available about the free and reduced lunch program, nutrition and paying for school lunches.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced an extension to its free meals program for all students for the 2021-22 school year. The program is being offered at no cost to the district.
Student accounts will not be charged for any lunch meals that meet the regular meal criteria set forth by the USDA. All students can receive lunch daily at no cost. A la carte purchases will be charged as usual.
Gold Cards Available
All residents of Bainbridge and Auburn who are 60 years of age or older may obtain a free, lifetime “gold card,” which will admit them free of charge to any school sponsored event in which students participate, including home athletic events, musical and dramatic performances.
Gold cards are not valid when an event is sponsored by an organization other than the schools (P.T.O., Booster groups, etc.) as a fundraiser. Cards cannot be used for athletic events such as conference, regional or state playoffs.
