Timmons Lunch Bunch
Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School students selected for Lunch Bunch honors in April. Kindergartners honored with positive attitude awards were Harlow Kozel, Caroline Mackey, Cole Nutter, Lively Reed, William Rockwell, Xavier Schneider, Tatum Siegler and Madelynn Szabo.
First-graders honored were Ava Albino, John Henry Butler, Nathan Delly, Joseph Frankfort, Ella Lukas, Brooke Miker, Emery Pol, Kenneth Rondo and Audrey Swift. Second-graders were Emily Aspromatis, Gianluca DiDona, Grace Hromada, Elena Lanza, Gianna Logozar, Michael Sebastiano and Alexander Stover. Third-graders were Braden Bennett, Rachel Braginsky, Evianna DiFranco, Dahlia Freeman, Michael Hallisy, Raygan Hudson, Bentley Kay and Lillian Lindberg.
KHS Students of the Month
Kenston High School is pleased to announce its Students of the Month for April. Students selected for Student of the Month honors were ninth-graders Keira Caprette and Graden Kucharson; 10th-graders Alessia Cassina and Mason Schurr; 11th-graders Ryan Manning and Serafina Novak; and 12th-graders Abby Ohlsen and Jack Skufca.
National Honor Society Officers
Kenston High School National Honor Society officers have been elected for the 2023-24 school year. They are: Martin Weber, president; Jack Beclay, vice president; Amy Jarmolowicz, secretary; Kyle McMahan, treasurer; and Emily Phillips, service project coordinator. They will mentor with the current officers before taking the helm next year.
NHS recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, service, leadership and character.
WRC Scholar Athletes
Congratulations to the students who earned Western Reserve Conference Scholar Athlete honors for 2022-23 winter sports. To be selected for this award, students must have a 3.25 GPA or better and have lettered in their sport.
Bowling student athletes were Payton Fetzner, Josue Holtz, Jack Morey, Skylar Pagon, Emma Robertson, Faith Smith, Molly Spehar, Lauren Stever, Charles Stice, Trevor Stretch, Matthew Strong and Samuel Williams. Boys basketball student athletes were Chris Collins, Aiden Doyle, Ethan Gaskin, Jack Jacobs, Max Marra, Xander Meyer, Tommy Seifried and Brychon Streeter.
Girls basketball players Samantha Bergansky, Alexis Black, Hanna Busby, Morgan Cicek, Amy Jarmolowicz, Angela Kale, Emily Kratzert, Mariela Macias, Ali Manis, Caroline Neimes, Brooke Pagon and Ramsey Smith received Scholar Athlete honors from the Western Reserve Conference. Cheerleaders Victoriana Grunwald, Alexa Hebert, Chloe Hebert, Maddy Jaroch, Keeley Mesec, Erriana Strong and Taylor Thompson were named WRC student athletes. Gymnasts Gianna Agresta, Julia Arnaut, Maria Cowoski, Bridgette Donovan, Anna Hammerle, Ryleigh Offutt, Sofia Salvini, Sophia Scarvelli, and Paige Stedman received All Academic honors.
Hockey players recognized with GCHSHL All Academic honors were Will Fromson, Troy Krahe, Nate Linsz, Lillian McCleery, Nate McIntosh, Tommy Moores, Danny Offutt, Chase Parker, Ava Reeck, Gavin Rowell, Alyse Stefancin, Daniel Wilson and Tyler Wright.
Receiving honors in swimming and diving were Dominic Blogna, Molly Bochenek, Ava Brennan, Patricia Brennan, Hannah Cooper, Mary Cowan, Laura Decroos, Cayla DiBernardo, Lauren Farrell, Kathryn Hodgekins, Lauren Jaroch, Madison Jones, Kaitlyn Kowalczyk, Tyshon McKinney, Dylan Ringness, Luke Schmidt, Kaden Selby and Catherine Zoltowicz. Wrestlers were Aiden Baran, Brady Baran, Benjamin DiMarco, Benjamin Burlinghaus, Sean Doyle, Aaron Hirt and Hope Pinette.
Kenston Cooks!
In conjunction with Play Blue and the Health and Wellness Committee, Kenston’s Nutrition Services Department hosted the annual Kenston Cooks Competition. Twelve kindergarten through fifth-grade chefs each prepared and plated a healthy lunch meal item in 50 minutes.
