Community Tailgate

Join the Kenston community on Oct. 5 from 5-7 p.m. prior to the Kenston versus Riverside varsity football game. It’s Senior Night for all non-stadium fall sports. Enjoy the Musical Arts Association of Kenston cookout; cost is $5 for a hot dog pack, which includes a Nathan’s hot dog, popcorn and drink special.

Candidates Night Forum

The Political Action Committee of Kenston (PACK) and the Geauga County League of Women Voters will host a Candidates Night Forum on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Kenston High School, Robert A. Lee Auditorium, 9500 Bainbridge Road. Candidates and issue representatives will present, followed by a question and answer from the audience.

KHS Students of the Month

Kenston High School is pleased to announce their Students of the Month for October.

Students selected for Student of the Month honors were ninth-graders Justin Croucher and Presley Gabram; tenth-graders Carley Riggins-Link and Nick Sanchez; eleventh-graders Zoe Koch and James Kregenow; and twelfth-graders Niklas Hunder and Jenna Wrona.

KMS Musical

Kenston Middle School students will perform the musical, “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.,”on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. in the KHS Robert A. Lee Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door of each performance.

The story depicted in “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr” centers on Tevye, a poor milkman and his five daughters. He tries to protect his daughters and his way of life from a changing world, tackling the universal theme of tradition in ways that reach across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion.
