Timmons Lunch Bunch

Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students of the Month.

The following kindergartners honored with “positive attitude” awards were: Aiden Currutt-Weisend, Elizabeth Czernicki, William Freshman, Jackson Granc, Jackson Herbert, Emma Lipkovich and Madison Myers. First-graders were Brooke Carlson, Rory Feldman, Jax Kantura, Mia Kwon, Oliver Lewis, Alaina Murphy and Kaitlyn Spellacy.

Second-graders were Dominica Giancola, Brynn Johnson, Stefania Mighton, Colin Murphy, Calvin Stefancin, Katherine Tobin and Daniella Valadez. Third-graders were Anna Baker, Nathan Beaumont, Braiden Blowers, Evan DeCourcey, Sheri Holodinski, Jake Myles and Charles Pierce.

KHS Student of the Month

Congratulations to Kenston High School Students of the Month. Selected for special recognition were freshmen Abby Bednar and Blake Torres; sophomores Delaney Kramer and Jacob Spencer; juniors Izzy Krzys and Hunter Ray; and seniors Cole Lombardi and Andrea Rengers.

Rotary Senior

Lauren Obman was selected Kenston’s Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month for April. She maintains a 4.282 grade point average. She has been named AP Scholar, having completed 11 AP courses, Student of the Month, Rotary Senior and Outstanding Young Female Rising on 91.1FM. Lauren will graduate in the top 15 of her class, receiving both an honors diploma and community service cord.

Outside the classroom, Lauren has participated in a wide variety of activities. As a Girl Scout, she earned her bronze and silver awards. As a freshman and sophomore, she played softball. She was a member of Principal’s Leadership, National Honor Society, Envirothon and a PEAK ambassador. For the past two years, she has volunteered as time at Kenston’s weekly Big Brother, Big Sister program. After studying Chinese in middle school and high school, she continued her studies in Tianjin and Beijing with the Confucius Institute Chinese Bridge Summer Camp.

Outside of school, Lauren works as a retail associate at Arborwear. She served as a Junior Ambassador Volunteer at Cleveland Clinic earning 120 community service hours. Last summer, she worked as a science intern, conducting research that was published in a medical journal.

She plans to continue her education at Case Western Reserve University, earning a degree in biochemistry with a minor in history.
