The annual district spelling bee was held on Jan. 25, with students in grades 4-8 competing to represent Kenston at the Geauga County Spelling Bee in February. Seventh-grader Jack Beclay won by correctly spelling the word “cyclone.”
Kenston’s top spellers were Mustafa Arshad, Elliot Bargiel, Jack Beclay, Rachael Clark, Jetta Cornell, Andy Fender*, Dominic Fontana*, Justin Gilbert*, Jacob Jerina, Kai Keebler, Remy Kiner, Max Leombruno, Ryan Manning, Emily Morgan, Caroline Neimes*, Skylar Pagon, Chloe Syslo, Sean Tobin, Kate Tobin* and Giuliana Walters. TES Lunch Bunch
Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students selected for Lunch Bunch honors in January.

KHS Parent Conferences
Kenston High School will hold Parent Teacher Conferences on Feb. 7 from 4-8 p.m in the high school gymnasium. The parent teacher conference is an opportunity for parents to learn about their child’s progress in school and for teachers to gain insight into their student’s home and community lives.
The high school utilizes an “open” format with teachers at individual tables set up in the gym where you can stop to see any or all of your child’s teachers. If you need more time than the allotted five-ten minutes, please contact your child’s team leader to set up an appointment. During the school year, utilize Infinite Campusto check your student’s weekly progress.
College Credit Plus Program
The College Credit Plus Program allows eligible students in grades 7-12 to take a college course and earn high school and college credit that appears on both their high school and college transcripts. Students must meet eligibility requirements set forth by the college or university to participate.
Students and parents interested in participating in the program for the 2019-20 school year must attend the College Credit Plus Night at Kenston High School, Robert A. Lee Auditorium on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m or view the recorded session on the Guidance webpage and sign off that they understand all details of the program.
Representatives from area colleges and universities will be available to answer questions. Specific details on the program will be progressively added to the guidance website and in the high school guidance office as they become available.
Forms need to be completed and returned by March 22.
Kenston Football Reverse Raffle
The Bomber Elite Football Club will host a reverse raffle with a grand prize of $3,000 on Feb. 23 from 6-11 p.m. at Bertram Inn. Tickets are $165 per couple. Tickets are available online at Kenston Community Education.
