Perfect ACT Scores

Kenston High School seniors Nathan Spencer and Amelia Witmer-Rich earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36.

Fewer than half of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the United States, high school graduating class of 2019, only 4,879 out of nearly 1.8 million students who took the ACT earned a top composite score of 36.

The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science; each scored on a scale of 1–36. A student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores. ACT’s optional writing test score is reported separately and is not included within the ACT composite score.

In a letter to the students recognizing this exceptional achievement, ACT CEO Marten Roorda stated, “Your achievement on the ACT is significant and rare. Your exceptional scores will provide any college or university with ample evidence of your readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead.”

ACT scores are accepted by all major four-year colleges and universities across the US.

Timmons One School Connects

Timmons Elementary School kicked off One Book Connects. Students will be reading “Fenway and Hattie” by Victoria Coe with schools and families across the country.

Students will fall in love with funny little Fenway, a Jack Russell terrier with a big heart, and his favorite small human, Hattie. They will follow their adventures as they move into a new house and make friends in their new neighborhood.

Copies of the books were distributed on Oct. 19 for students to begin 15 minutes of reading together over the next three weeks. The school is grateful to the Timmons PTO for their support of One Book Connects.
