Students in Mr. Christian Barrus’ physics classes put their circuitry knowledge and skills to work to modify and adapt toys to interface with an adaptive controller for children with disabilities. The workshop provided by RePlay for Kids and sponsored by a First Energy Educator Grant resulted in 40 new electronic toys rewired by high school students for external input connections.
Showcasing Students
Timmons Elementary School kindergartners invited their families and special friends to celebrate an annual tradition of sharing their school portfolio. Students showcased samples of their work that demonstrated their progress and effort as the school year ends and they get ready to move on to first grade.
Congratulations, Retirees
Kenston Schools bid a heartfelt farewell to 14 employees retiring this school year. The group has collectively served the district for over 250 years.
Kenston is grateful for their dedication to students, parents, staff and community. KMS Encore Students of the Quarter
Kenston Middle School teachers present the following students with Student of the Quarter honors to recognize their achievement and success within a specific related arts class that include health, physical education, foreign language, technology education, art and music.
The students honored fourth quarter were Joseph Holodinski, Lauren Jaroch, Tommy Moe, Morgan Polcar, Phillip Witmer-Rich and Miranda Wood.
