First-Grade Spotlight
The first-grade teachers are Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Hickman. Both classes have already been hard at work getting to know each other and their new teachers. Both teachers stated that they are most excited to have new classrooms this year and to use the new Bridges in Mathematics program.
Mrs. Hickman, who is new to NDES, has enjoyed getting to know the families and Notre Dame community. It is going to be a great year in first grade.
Buddy Benches
Students can now enjoy using buddy benches to spend time with friends new and old, taking a moment to relax. The benches were purchased by the Notre Dame Parent Association and were assembled with the help of the Paglia, Effner and Felice families. The school is thankful for these wonderful benches that help to foster friendship on campus.
Gross Motor Space
It has been very exciting using the new preschool space for gross motor activities. Students have enjoyed using the sensory walk in the resource room, playing outside and using the multipurpose room to explore and learn.
