Thirteen Newbury choir students in grades seven through nine participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Junior High Solo and Ensemble event held at Eastlake North High School on April 14. They worked to memorize their pieces to then perform them for a judge.
Participating students include Anita Sarkisian, Julia Weber, Halle Phifer, Gianna Dahlhausen, Ava Richards, Gracie Laster, Autumn Airey, Brooke Ruchalski, Madisen Millward, Michelle Elliott, Stephanie Clarke, Greg Bullis and Maria Clarke.
Anita, Greg, Gianna and Autumn all received the highest rating of Superior (I). Halle, Gracie, Stephanie, Ava and Brooke received a rating of Excellent (II). Michelle, Gianna and Stephanie received a rating of Good (III).
