On Sept. 14, the faculty of Newbury District Schools took part in a daylong professional development project to update the district mission statement and engage in strategic planning for the district’s future.
Staff activities also included state mandated CPR training, hands-on teacher-to-teacher training in innovative new teaching strategies and a session for language arts and business staff on careers in writing and journalism in the digital age featuring Paul Hoynes, longtime Cleveland Indians beat reporter.
A second professional development day is scheduled for Sept. 28.
