Anna Tribuzzo, an intervention specialist at Newbury Junior-Senior High School, was the recipient of the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Award on April 26 at Auburn Career Center.

Anna Tribuzzo, an intervention specialist at Newbury Junior-Senior High School, was the recipient of the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Award on April 26 at Auburn Career Center. She was chosen because she is an educator that is dedicated to helping students. She provides creative options for students to develop content mastery. By doing so, she helps her students get excited about learning.
Besides being selected by Newbury, Ms. Tribuzzo was also chosen by SST4 (state support teams are local and regional Ohio educators with a history in school improvement, preschool and special education) as the region’s Teacher of the Year and will be honored in Columbus on June 14.
R.A. Horn Award
Vinnie Polito, a senior at Newbury High School, was the recipient of the R.A. Horn Outstanding Achievement Award on April 26. The ceremony took place at Auburn Career Center in Concord. This award recognizes a student’s remarkable performance in school.
Vinnie was chosen because he is a hard working student who takes pride in his schoolwork. He attends Auburn Career Center and is in the welding program. He is also an intern at Swagelok and has already secured employment after graduation.
Vinnie has balanced work, sports, school, friends and family while maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A. He is well-loved by the staff at Newbury and has an exciting future ahead of him.
