SchoolSAFE Emergency Procedures Training
Members of NDCL’s Incident Command Team completed their final training session to earn certification from the SchoolSAFE program. Trainers from Colorado-based SchoolSAFE, Inc., led NDCL staff in a series of realistic scenarios to test readiness for an actual emergency. The training focused on the effective use of SchoolSAFE’s web-enabled, two-way radio system that connects school personnel with local first responders during emergency situations. Firefighter-paramedics from the Munson Fire Department joined the NDCL staff for the training session.
Last year, SchoolSAFE, which is a division of Motorola, Inc., donated its cutting-edge radio systems to NDCL and all public and Catholic schools located in the boundaries of the Chardon Local School District.
